This project has designed as a high performance, one piece ruggedized computer specifically for military tactical field and strategic applications.
The computer is based on a passive ISA - ISA/PCI backplane with a Single Board Computer.
It is PC/AT compatible in a lightweight, environmentally resistant package.
On its standard level customer recived a drip proof keyboard, 3.5" 1.44Mbyte flexible disk drive, a 2100 Mbyte hard disk and 64 Mbyte RAM.
Standard interfaces include two serial RS-232, one parallel and one VGA port.
Six ISA slot accept printed circuit modules that are available for all PC/AT compatible computers.
This allows for the attachment of a range of compativle peripherals, accessories and interfaces.
It can run MS-DOS, SCO UNIX, QNX, MS-WINDOWS or any other operating system designed for PC.
The standard computer system operates from 20-30VDC power source. With dimantions of only 7" high x 9" wide x 20" deep.
It is ideally suited for sheltered or outdoor field use.

Performance Upgradeability
The ASR5106 passive backplane allows an easy replacement of the CPU board to a Pentium or Pentium II or Pentium III operating at 350 or 450 MHz. The backplane is upgradeable to a ISA/PCI having 2 ISA, one ISA/PCI and 3 PCI slots.
